What We Do
Cuttack District Archery Association(CDAA) was established in the Year 1992.
CDAA is affiliated to Odisha Archery Association. Since inception, CDAA has been functioning diligently in a, mission mode to groom and nurture the archers of Cuttack District by providing them with a best in class training facilities. Time and again the archers of Cuttack District have made the District and State proud through their stellar performance at various State and National Level Championships.
All whilst arranging district and state tournament, the members of the Association teamed up & worked their way together to organise National Archery Championships witnessing the success of many archers and their coaches. The Association today serves not only as a foundation for numerous archers of Cuttack District, but also as a testimonial to successful archers all throughout India.

CDAA Archery Club
CDAA operates a high level training centre at Annexure Ground of Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack for budding archers. The trainees include medal winner archers in Indian Round, Recurve and Compound discipline representing Cuttack district and Odisha State in various tournaments. The centre operates 6 days a week both in the morning (06:00 am to 08:00 am) and evening (04:00 pm to 06:00 pm). The centre imparts basic to advance Archery skills along with special emphasis of mental health, diet and nutrition advice and Meditations sessions for an all-round development of trainees.

Abhishek Verma elected to World Archery’s Athletes Committee
23rd Sept 2021 India’s three-time World Cup gold medal-winning compound archer Abhishek Verma has been elected to World Archery’s athletes’
2021 Hyundai World Archery Championships 20 – 26 Sep 2021, Yankton (USA)
Indian Archery Team finished the championship with 3 silver medals. The medals were worn in Compound Women Team, Compound Mixed Team and Compound Women.

Our Coaches
Mr. Raj Kumar Naik, protégé of SAI – HAL Sports Training Centre, Sunabeda had an illustrious career in Archery and had won many medals at State and Nationals Championships. He was an inseparable member of Odisha Archery Team be it Mini, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Championships. He is credited to have been instrumental in many podium finish for the Odisha in his decade long career. He now works as Chief Coach of CDAA and currently in charge of training State level champions in Mini, Sub-Junior and Senior cadets of Cuttack District. He is also a State Judge and adjudicated in various State Meet.
